Kids' Events

Read a good book.
The Jonesboro Public Library will begin their fall storytimes in September with Family Storytime on Monday at 7 p.m. and Thursday at 10:45 a.m., Lapsit Storytime at 10 a.m. on Thursday, PeeWee Storytime at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Preschool Storytime 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rope ‘em cowboy!
The NEA District Fair Rodeo will be held Sept. 16-18 at 8 p.m. at the ASU Convocation Center. Call 972-ASU1 for tickets.

Kick the ball!
Sensational Kids is holding registration for their annual NEA Kickball 4 Kids games that will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of October. Registration ends Sept. 20. For more information, call Brooke Crain, 336-0021.

Take a ride at the NEA District Fair.
Each day will feature various events during the 2010 fair held Sept. 20-25 including: buddy night on Monday with Darryl Worley and Cody Noel in concert; the Sindiggers and Jerod Niemann in concert on Tuesday; dollar day on Wednesday with admission $5 for adults, $2 for children, spectacular and adult rides for $2 and kiddie rides, $1; Thursday is gospel night on the grandstand and arm band night; the NEA District Fair Queen pageant will be held on Friday along with lawn mower races; and the week will end on Saturday with arm band day, demolition derby and concerts by Twister Alley and Earl Thomas Conley.
